Big Bird and his Sesame Street companion, Barkley, the big, fluffy dog, travel across China in search of the legendary Feng Huang, the Phoenix Bird. Along the way they visit with Chinese schoolchildren, watch a Tai Ji demonstration, learn some Chinese words and songs, and meet the mischievous Monkey King.

Nop is a small time thief who gets a job from the local Chinese mafia in Bangkok. He and another guy have to pick up some girls from a small fishing port nearby who have been smuggled in from China to work in a Karaoke bar and deliver them to Bangkok. On the way back into town they are stopped at a police check point and the cops soon realize the people in the van are all illegal immigrants. He runs away with a girl who speaks some Thai named Liew who is coming to Thailand to pay back her family's debts. A chase leads to them nearly being captured and Nop is shot but they manage to escape and hide out in Pattaya for a few days. They have a relationship but Nop must hand over the girl to the mob no matter what. She does not want to work in the bar but is forced to. Nop does not agree...

Minnie is one of an estimated one million people who are buried in unnamed graves in mental institution cemeteries across the United States. The film tells the story of her life through interviews with historians and genealogists, a visit to the local historical society, and the newspapers from the early 1900s that sensationalized her institutionalization in graphic detail for the public interest. Through animations constructed from archival material – including newsprint, photographs, and present-day footage from the Adams family farm – THE WILD GIRL OF BRUSHVALLEY TOWNSHIP reclaims Minnie’s story from sensationalist public gossip imagining an alternative history for a woman who was failed by her family and society.

Back in the US, Stockdale's wife, Sybil, begins working with other POW wives to try to get information on their husbands and to inform the world on their treatment.

In June 1950, soon after the start of the Korean War, a troop of North Korean soldiers enter a small South Korean village. Captain Jeong-woong proclaims that they came to liberate the villagers but their true agenda is to ferret out the reactionaries. The villagers and Seol-hee, who is separated from her fiance on her wedding day, offer them heartfelt hospitality and cooperation to avoid falling out of the army's favor. Eventually friendships starts to build up between the soldiers and the villagers.
